ArcSight Appoints Reed Henry as Sr. VP of Marketing and Business Development

ArcSight (News - Alert) has signed on technology industry veteran Reed Henry who will report directly to ArcSight's Chief Operating Officer Tom Reilly.


Henry will develop and execute strategic initiatives that promote global sales growth and maximize new business development. He boasts more than 18 years of experience managing a wide variety of business development, sales and marketing, product management, professional services and international strategy efforts for global companies.

Reilly, COO, of ArcSight, says that Reed Henry's experience and broad skillset will help ArcSight capitalize on the opportunities in the security and compliance market sectors. He points out that Henry is a proven, multi-disciplined business leader with deep marketing and business development expertise and a sharp focus on bottom-line-driven global marketing results.

“As the company enters the next phase of our expansion, Henry will help to manage and drive strategic initiatives designed to maximize brand awareness, company revenues, and customer loyalty,” said Reilly.

Henry’s extensive technology background includes database, consumer Internet, packaged applications, networking, telephony, VoIP, business process integration, call center applications and SOA composite applications.

Prior to joining ArcSight, Henry served as senior vice president of marketing, alliances and business development at SeeBeyond Technology where he managed several strategic corporate initiatives including the company's go-to-market strategy and execution, new partner acquisition and strategic alliances.

He also served as vice president of strategy and new business at eBay (News - Alert) before joining SeeBeyond. At eBay Henry was responsible for the company's strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and development and execution of strategies to build out new eBay categories. Henry served as the vice president of marketing and product management of Vertical Networks, a Kleiner Perkins and Accel Partners-backed startup that developed voice and data communications products for telecommunications service providers, enterprises and SMBs, that was acquired by Artisoft.
