VoIP phone system provider M5 Networks (News - Alert) recently announced the appointment of Kathy Perone, president of XLNT Technologies, to its board of directors.

 

As the president of XLNT Technologies, and the former president and CEO of WestCom, Inc., Perone brings a great deal of experience to her role on the M5 Networks board. During her career so far she also served as president and CEO of FOCAL Communications, Inc. (acquired by Broadwing Communications) and as president of Level 3 North America. Further, she has served on the board of four public companies (Infocrossing (News - Alert), Focal Communications, Lexent and Tellium), as well as on several private company boards.

M5 Networks is positioning itself as a leader in the ‘voice-as-a-service’ market, focusing on the mid-size business segment.
