Alert), a company that develops and markets software tools for VoIP and information technology (IT) asset management, is in the process of acquiring G-major Japan Ltd, a Japanese vertical market distributor of network management software.
The deal is likely to be finalized by the end of September. Terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.

Codima’s software tools help organizations to reduce costs, save time and successfully manage their IT networks. Since its inception, Codima has been active in the Japanese market. This deal with G-major Japan Ltd is aimed at strengthening Codima’s position in one of its major key markets and to ensure market channeling to system integrators, resellers and large enterprise customers to further fuel rapid growth.
Mattson said G-major Japan as the company that will bring valuable resources in market intelligence and cultural insights — an essential part of business life in Japan.
“Though our interaction with the Japanese market is ongoing, we now have a solid platform to accelerate our expansion,” Mattson said.
By specializing in VoIP network management software, G-major Japan Ltd in Tokyo offers a total technical support section delivering first line support in Japanese.
“With our experience from working with Codima technology in the past, our sales and support teams are well equipped to fully explore the Japanese market potential,” said Yo Uchishiba of G-major Japan, in a statement. “We anticipate a significant increase in VoIP technology investments as Japanese governmental initiatives proactively supports IP-based infrastructures.”
