Tokyo stocks little changed amid caution over recent rally
(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, Nov. 27 -- (Kyodo) _ Tokyo stocks hovered around the flat line in early trading Tuesday as investors showed a cautious stance toward the recent fast-paced rally.
At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 3.19 points, or 0.03 percent, at 9,392.13. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 0.69 point, or 0.09 percent, at 778.81.
Defensive stocks such as pharmaceuticals gained ground, while carmakers, steelmakers and electronics makers were broadly lower.
