The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) awarded a multi-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to T-Mobile USA. T-Mobile’s (News - Alert) agreement with the IRS was awarded under the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) schedule in place since May 2002.
The 4G network from T-Mobile allows users to have video chat without being tied to WiFi (News - Alert), and send photos to friends and family faster than before. It also allows them to download documents, photos, apps, and music in a blink.
The T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ network now offers a 4G mobile broadband experience to more people than any other wireless network in the country with typical download speeds that are on par with competing 4G technologies, and service availability in 75 metropolitan markets throughout the United States. This allows the customers of T-Mobile customers with 4G devices to enjoy faster Web browsing, video streaming without buffering.
“More and more, companies recognize the advantages of having a completely mobile workforce that is able to work quickly and efficiently from nearly anywhere, anytime,” said David Pepe, divisional director of government solutions at T-Mobile USA, in a press release. “For the IRS, T-Mobile is a partner that can make mobile productivity gains and decreased mobile expenses a reality,” continued David Pepe in a press release.
To improve domestic and international coverage, reduce domestic and international minute usage, increase enterprise mobility cost savings, and improve productivity benefits from open Wi-Fi access points across the globe, T-Mobile helps companies take advantage of this technology as it is the first major carrier to offer WiFi calling. The company hosts approximately 40 million WiFi calls per month and has considerable expertise in this arena.
Recently, the company opted for Portrait Uplift Optimizer to improve customer retention, lower the direct marketing costs and increase revenues. Being a long-standing user of Portrait Customer Analytics, T-Mobile Austria (News - Alert) opted for Portrait Uplift Optimizer to further reduce churn rates by contacting only persuadable customers and to focus on saving customers profitably. Recent trials showed that Uplift delivers a further reduction in churn of 2.4 percent.
