The Customer Interaction Solutions magazine from TMC (News - Alert) has named RingCube’s vDesk as a recipient of its 2010 IP Contact Center Technology Pioneer Award. RingCube Technologies, is a provider of managed virtual workspaces.
RingCube vDesk solution delivers enterprise desktop virtualization that increases user productivity, lowers desktop management costs and eliminates the performance and resource overhead of legacy virtualization technologies. Users can run their vDesk workspace at the office or on unmanaged PCs – at home, or at a client site.
Encapsulating the users’ desktop environment into a secure, encrypted container, RingCube vDesk’s unique desktop virtualization technology separates the user’s desktop environment – including applications, data and settings – from the operating system. Users can run their vDesk workspace at the office or on unmanaged PCs – at home, or at disaster recovery site. vDesk can run desktop applications such as Virtual Private Networking (VPN), Voice Over IP (VoIP) clients, video training, streaming media unlike legacy solutions.
“Recognized by TMC, vDesk is the solution that is becoming a ‘secret weapon’ of leading call centers, especially those expanding into the homesourcing, virtual agent space,” said Doug Dooley, vice president of marketing and product management, RingCube. “RingCube enables customers to gain a competitive advantage through the benefits of secure managed virtual desktops that perform better than other desktop virtualization solutions.”
TMC stated that the organization is proud to distinguish RingCube with an IP Contact Center Technology Pioneer Award. The company stated that technology is the key to the success of any call center and vDesk has been designed with the needs of the contact center market in mind.
Recently, the company announced vDesk, which enables enterprise workers access to their complete desktop from any Windows PC. It also gives users access to a virtual personal workspace which they can access anytime, anywhere in the world. Earlier this year, RingCube unveiled vDesk version 3.0, which has new management functionality. It delivers global scalability, faster MobileSync, support for Microsoft Windows 7, and hardware-assisted isolation control with Intel (News - Alert) vPro technology.
