Symmetry Electronics (News - Alert) has recently inked a distribution agreement to supply and support Dialog Semiconductor’s (News
- Alert) range of radio transceiver ICs for 1.7, 1.9, 2.4 and 5.8GHz applications.
According to Gil Zaharoni, Symmetry Electronics CEO, their company’s focus is on providing technical/design support of the highest quality and delivering innovative solutions that surpass the expectations of design engineers, and Dialog’s products introduce wireless technology to an immeasurable number of new markets.
“For instance, Dialog’s 25x29mm CVM (cordless voice module) features innovative packaging that will allow Symmetry’s customers to build anything from cordless phones to feature-rich, wearable communication products,” added Zaharoni.
The distribution agreement enables Symmetry to provide timely support for real time wireless voice and data solutions based on Dialog’s products to its customers in the Americas.
For many years now, Dialog’s has been offering versions of DECT (News - Alert), plus the 2.4 GHz DCT protocol. With its unique focus and expertise in energy efficient system power management, the company has brought out SmartPulse, ultra low energy wireless sensor network devices that operate in the 1.9GHz DECT frequency band, have a range of more than 50m indoors and 300m outdoors, are self-configuring and require no network planning.
This device can be simply and remotely managed via web connected smartphones, laptops or tablet PCs and will be distributed by Symmetry as per the deal.
