- Alert) ‘Igloo’ open source developer community meant at supporting the upcoming “Snowball” developer board.
Igloo is a web-based application for making ISIS (CDS/ISIS and WinISIS) database online on the web and it is created using PHP scripting language PHP-OpenISIS as back-end for reading ISIS native database format.
ST-Ericsson (News - Alert) recently launched the Igloo open source community together with a developer board, the Snowball, to accelerate the development of system and software innovations with its own smartphone and tablet platforms. The Snowball developer board built on ST-Ericsson’s NovaTM A9500 application processor is a powerful, rich, yet low cost tool that enables easy and fast development of mobile applications.
Movial’s job is to port both Android (News - Alert) and MeeGo to the Snowball open source developer board and also to develop and run the Igloo community.
Officials with Movial commented that Igloo is open to everyone; it’s collaborative, supportive, inclusive and free. Movial (News - Alert) is proud to have been selected by ST-Ericsson as a founding Igloo partner. Igloo is the place where ST-Ericsson developer board users can quickly get up to speed, get recommendations for hardware interfaces and peripherals, as well as complete software packages that are already aligned with open source requirements and standards.
