In an effort to extend its support to Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB), Atlanta based Truck Roll Company Endeavor recently donated 2,000 pounds of food to ACFB.

Since 1979, the Atlanta Community Food Bank has been distributing foods to more than 700 community-based hunger-relief organizations in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The food distributed annually amounts to more than 2 million pounds. In addition to food distribution, the Food Bank leads seven distinct community-building projects: Atlanta's Table, Community Garden Initiative, Hunger 101, Hunger Walk/Run, Kids in Need, Product Rescue Center and The Atlanta Prosperity Campaign.

Endeavor serves carriers, service providers, systems integrators, VARs, and equipment manufacturers. Endeavor's private label wholesale professional services include: Field Services, such as inside wiring and equipment installation; Order Fulfillment Logistics - equipment configuration, staging, testing, and shipping; and Tier I & II operations and technical support. Every year Endeavor organizes an event in which the company staffs are split into two teams. According to the company, the teams take great pride in becoming the part of this unique food drive.

In a press release, Endeavor said that this year its employees collected canned goods and monetary contributions equivalent to nearly 2,000 pounds of food. This huge contributions of Endeavor employees will help supply 1,425 meals to low-income Georgians through ACFB's network of more than 700 nonprofit partner agencies throughout Atlanta and North Georgia.

“The annual holiday food drive really gets the team excited about working together to give back to the community. Every year, there is a big competition not only between the two teams but also to exceed the amount of donations from previous years. The staff takes a lot of pride in the event, since everyone really supports the mission of the Atlanta Community Food Bank in its efforts to provide warm meals for the less fortunate,” Endeavor’s chief of staff and food drive coordinator Jennifer Baron commented in a statement.

In 2009, Bill Bolling, founder and executive director of the Atlanta Community Food Bank was honored with 2009 Shining Light Award. Award was given by Atlanta Gas Light, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL (News - Alert) Resources together with News/Talk 750 WSB, the most trusted source for news, weather and traffic.
