By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

The GENVelocity Marketing Assistance Program has been formally launched by GENBAND (News - Alert). Customers will be able to rapidly expand service offerings through this program. They will also be able to successfully launch new GENBAND-powered IP solutions.

GENBAND's extensive expertise in planning, marketing, training and deploying products across differentiated service offerings can be now leveraged by telecommunications operators, resellers, partners and large enterprise customers through this program. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top developer of IP infrastructure and applications solutions, GENBAND.

Time-to-market for revenue-generating GENBAND solutions is decreased with the GENVelocity program. By providing consulting services and self-service marketing tools, resource costs are also lowered. Multiple product lines are encompassed by GENBAND's marketing assistance program. These include the A2 Communications Application Server, S3 Session Border Controller and the C15 Compact Softswitch.

In a release, Mehmet Balos (News - Alert), chief marketing officer at GENBAND said, “As we usher in a host of new revenue generating features and benefits through IP transformation, it is essential to simultaneously arm our customers with the tools required for the rapid adoption and use of these groundbreaking new capabilities.”

According to Balos, introduction costs are reduced by the GENVelocity Marketing Assistance program. Collateral, sales aids, toolkits and marketing materials are leveraged for the same. At the same time, lead generation, joint selling and segmentation help to speed time to revenue. Solutions that retain and evolve their existing customer base can be quickly delivered by service providers through this program. New subscribers can be also captured by service providers with competitive and innovative offerings through this program.

Joe McGarvey, principal analyst for IP Services Infrastructure at Current Analysis (News - Alert) said, “New IP services offer operators a rich and powerful resource for tapping into new revenue sources and fending off competitive threats. Unfortunately, most operators need assistance in harnessing that power to differentiate their services, defend from over the top services and expand into new markets.”

According to McGarvey, tools needed to fully exploit the power of IP communications are provided to service providers and resellers through GENBAND's multi-faceted marketing program. The program also includes the GENVelocity Marketing Assistance Program.
