TeleCommunications Systems, a company that provides reliable and secure mobile communication technology, announced the launch of its TotalCom portfolio, which has been developed to enable seamless, highly secure voice, video and data communication among fixed sites and remote operations.
“Now more than ever, government agencies are demanding communication offerings that link all individuals from the top brass down to the soldier on the ground with equipment that is reliable, secure and easily deployable,” Michael Bristol, senior vice president and general manager, Government Solutions Group, TCS, said.
“TCS is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that take communication technologies to the next level, with the ability to transmit not just voice, but video and data among all personnel and equipment. The TCS TotalCom Portfolio gives defense, government and commercial organizations the ability to meet the growing secure connectivity needs of their stakeholders,” Bristol added.
TotalCom solutions include portable, deployable products, managed satellite services, integrated global support, information assurance and applications across all types of network. Individuals on the ground, vehicles, aircraft and command centers will be able to shape the gathered information into a coherent, accurate situation assessment.
The TCS TotalCom Portfolio features TCS secure line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight RF communications. Its Tactical Transportable TROPO, Wireless Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) systems provide extension of secure LAN to remote locations.
Also the global meshed satellite connectivity featuring both traditional bent pipe technology and seamless IP satellite networking via TCS’ network leverages Cisco’s (News
- Alert) Internet Routing in Space [IRIS] technology on Intelsat (News - Alert)-14 and uses TCS’ global network of teleports and dedicated networks.
The home station in-building distributed antenna systems capture cellular and radio signals from outside the building and retransmits them within the building, said officials.
The portfolio also includes professional services, including deployable systems field support and other integrated logistics support, cyber security training and assessment, and continuity of operations capability (COOP) by TCS-certified and cleared personnel.
The portfolio boasts new secure communication products such as Impact Tactical and SwiftCell Lite. These are two innovative products developed to ensure secure communication from the core to the edge of the network.
The TCS Impact Tactical IP Terminal is the smallest ruggedized communications kit with a modular design that matches user requirements as for vehicles, rack-mount, and tents and so on. The SwiftCell Lite is a compact cellular network housed in small, discrete ruggedized case, explained officials.
Recently Uplogix, the leading provider of local network management and TeleCommunication Systems (News
- Alert), Inc. announced a new agreement that will allow TCS to utilize Uplogix (News - Alert) solutions in their managed services business units, as well as resell Uplogix solutions to end customers.
