BURNABY, British Columbia --(Business Wire)--
Teradici, the developer of the innovative PCoIP (PC-over-IP®)
protocol that enables a true PC experience for desktop virtualization,
announced today that it will participate in this year's VMware User
Group (VMUG) conferences as a platinum sponsor. In addition to
demonstrations of the Teradici APEX 2800 server offload card and its
joint solution with Imprivata, Teradici will present in select VMUG
venues on best practices for delivering a rich VDI experience over LAN
and high-latency WAN networks across the entire enterprise.
Teradici will be participating in the following 2012 VMware User
Group events:
Charlotte, NC - May 15, 2012 San Diego, CA (News - Alert) - May 22, 2012 Philadelphia,
PA - June 7, 2012 Minneapolis, MN - June 21, 2012 Salt Lake

UK - November 15, 2012 Kansas City, KS - December TBD, 2012
"VMUG events not only give attendees the technical insight needed to
make decisions about their virtual infrastructure, but also allow for
Teradici to engage in conversations with PCoIP and VMware View™ users to
discuss their experiences and address their unique needs," said Trent
Punnett, vice president of marketing, Teradici. "We are excited to be at
many of the VMUG events in 2012, and will have knowledgeable experts on
hand to discuss and educate attendees on the benefits of PCoIP for all
VMware View environments."
Teradici APEX 2800 Server Offload Card
Teradici will demonstrate the full benefits of the APEX 2800 card and
its recently announced compatibility with VMware View™ 5.1 deployments.
Monitoring the activity of all virtual machines on a server, the APEX
2800 dynamically offloads the most active 64 displays, improving the
consolidation ratio by up to 2x and reducing the cost per virtual
desktop. The card also acts as an insurance policy against unexpected
image processing loads on the View server CPUs, ensuring a consistent
user experience.
PCoIP Zero Client with Imprivata No Click Access™
Teradici will showcase No Click Access™ to roaming desktops using
OneSign VDA™, VMware View and PCoIP zero clients to provide doctors,
nurses and clinicians with fast and secure access to their roaming
desktops from any location with a simple tap of their badge. With no OS,
no hard drive, and receivng pixels only for display, PCoIP zero clients
are ultra-secure, easy to manage devices that offer the richest user
experience in a VMware View environment. Without the need for entering
multiple passwords, healthcare providers can now benefit from dramatic
savings in time, leading to better patient care.

About PCoIP Technology
Teradici's PCoIP protocol is an innovative remote display technology
that allows the user's desktop operating system, applications, and data
to reside in the datacenter, eliminating the need for traditional
desktop workstations, PCs and thin clients, and delivers an
uncompromised user experience to each person, anywhere, over any network
and to any type of device without incurring the security risks
associated with having data reside in remote PCs, laptops, or tablets.
PCoIP technology provides high resolution, full frame rate 3D graphics
and high-definition media, with full USB peripheral interoperability,
locally over a LAN or remotely over a high-latency WAN. It compresses,
encrypts and encodes the entire computing experience at the datacenter
and transmits it 'pixels only' across a standard IP network to secure,
stateless PCoIP zero clients, thin clients, and mobile devices.
The protocol is implemented in several software configurations,
including VMware View, the industry leading desktop virtualization
platform as well as in silicon for hardware accelerated performance and
enhanced security. A growing ecosystem of over 30 third-party vendors
provide a wide variety of PCoIP products including server plug-in cards,
rack and tower workstations, blade PCs, zero clients, integrated
monitors, and IP phones with PCoIP capability.
