LG Launches New Interactive Commercial-Grade LED TV for Hospitality Industry

The newly released interactive commercial-grade LT770H LED TV series from LG is specifically designed to meet a range of hospitality needs, packed with the Pro:Centric platform, full HD display capabilities, interactive services support and EcoSmart technology and blend Java, Flash and HTML compatibility with Internet Protocol (IP) video decoding.

These features along with built-in Wi-Fi and dual RF (radio frequency) tuners should let users enjoy a powerful, feature-rich IPTV (News - Alert) experience.

LG explained that the Pro:Centric platform integrated into the new Smart TVs can act as a digital concierge that the hospitality industry can deploy for their guests to have the ability to see hotel amenities such as spa treatments, restaurants and golf via billboards presented on their hotel room TVs.

With the optional Web Editor, the hotel property can customize and update these billboards to promote whatever businesses and services that will benefit them and their customers.

LG's LT770H series also eliminates the need for traditional set-top boxes or tuners, enabling the delivery of a wide range of custom applications tailored to both hotel management and guest needs.

Officials with LG commented that by combining the capabilities of IPTV with the ability to run HTML-based applications on LED TVs, they have created a powerful tool to bring smart applications widely adopted in the consumer electronics space to hospitality customers. They developed the second generation of Pro:Centric LED TVs with the hotel operator and their guests in mind, introducing a solution that addresses today's needs while preparing for the applications of tomorrow, all integrated directly into the hotel's existing infrastructures.

The LT770H series supports direct IPTV, RF-only and mixed RF and IP connections; cross-network compatibility for migrating from RF to IP network topology; crisp and clear images with energy-efficient edge-lit LED backlighting; and enables fast and easy installation with 'Auto Configuration' capabilities.
