Mitel (News - Alert), a source of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software solutions, also provides Communications Director (MCD). The software is a highly scalable, proven IP-PBX application that forms the core of the Mitel Freedom Architecture.
Irrespective of the number of users a company has, MCD offers powerful call handling, various unified communications features and easy management.
The company recently announced it will showcase the vMCD application along with Applications Suite (MAS 4.0) at SviazExpocomm 2012, Russia's largest telecommunications and technology event.
Organized by The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development (News - Alert) and Innovation, in partnership with the Canadian Embassy in Moscow, the event hosts various technology leaders and their latest products.
Mitel Communication Director provides a single, cloud-ready software stream, installed on industry standard servers. As a result, it supports a whole range of deployment models to future-proof the investment of the customer, whether they are distributed, centralized, private and public cloud or hybrid, the company stated in a press release.
Alex Volynsky, head of the newly established representative office in Moscow, sells and supports Mitel's portfolio under license and integrating value-added applications from companies affiliated with Wesley Clover (News - Alert) International Corporation. "The market for UC in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe is growing rapidly and events like SviazExpocomm are critical to ensuring companies in these regions understand the key role that Mitel can play in their communications strategy," he said.
TMC’s (News - Alert) Ed Silverstein recently reported that Mitel sued Facebook in an alleged patent infringement case. The suit comes right after Yahoo sued Facebook (News - Alert) on patent infringement charges as well. Yahoo filed the lawsuit after the company told Facebook it wanted them to pay royalties for using Web technology that Yahoo says it invented. The issue relates to patented “proactive features for telephony” and a patented “automatic Web page generator.”
