ShoreTel is a company that provides on-premise business VoIP phone system with built-in unified communications (UC). Recently, the company announced that it was offering its UC products along with Polycom (News
- Alert) and HP solutions as a promotional incentive for customers. This allows the customers to take advantage of the UC solutions on a secure, resilient and flexible network infrastructure, the company stated.

- Alert) UC solution puts the system’s usability across the communications environment. This helps the system to grow as needed, across sites, or even countries. IT staff can administer the system from anywhere on the network with ShoreTel Director, an intuitive browser-based administrative interface. It all comes together with plug-and-play ease, from the voice switches and IP phones that are ready to go as soon as they’re plugged in, to the online directory that updates dynamically, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, David Gitonga reported that ShoreTel made some new appointments to its sales team. The new leaders now include Joe Vitalone, leading the Channel Management; Tim Gaines, leading the North America Sales Department; and Mark Arman, leading International Sales and Worldwide Distribution. The company stated that these staffing appointments will help ShoreTel to put a tighter focus on U.S. and international markets, which the company says is experiencing fast growth.
