UAE-based Tiger Group, a well-known steel company in the Middle East, has recently picked Mitel (News - Alert) for its virtual solution.
Tiger Group officials said that they picked Mitel’s virtualized unified communications and collaboration (vUCC) solutions after thorough research, in order to reduce costs, enhance its business continuity strategies, improve employee productivity and increase flexibility by providing various mobility applications and a singular network to run both voice and data.
Imran, Group IT Manager, Tiger Group, said that their company conducted thorough assessments of a number of communication vendors and Mitel demonstrated the most flexible and efficient solution that could accommodate the anticipated growth and sophistication of the business.
According to the project plans, Tiger Steel is introducing its vMCD at its head office and Mitel Communications Director running on Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) at branch offices, and these installations will offer the ability to network individual offices and remote locations seamlessly.
"With our head office supported by vMCD, all 13 branches and remote locations will be implemented in phase two. Our aim in phase two is to merge all applications with voice in the Cloud, hence the selection of vMCD software. This will help us achieve our goal of a centrally-managed infrastructure for data, applications and voice,” added Imran.
This will overall stabilize the implementation of a complete virtualization strategy, with a goal of enhanced data center virtualization using VMware.
“Tiger Group can now improve the information management between all of its disciplines and users, giving it the competitive advantage needed to improve productivity and optimize on IT resources. As Tiger Group continues to grow, Mitel's flexible offerings aim to provide a seamless experience for every employee and the overall business, so Tiger Group can service and address its customers and business requirements at the highest level," concluded Imran.
