UniVOIP has released the new version of its proprietary unified communications (UC) platform – OfficeConnect version 5.01.
OfficeConnect connects all employees to each other and to clients. Through a single phone number, according to company officials, main office, home offices, satellite offices, mobile workers and even international offices are all accessible.
UniVoIP is a business voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and hosted private branch exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) provider. It offers high-speed Internet connectivity and any-distance phone service in one seamless self-serve solution. The company’s newest offering includes multiple features specifically requested by the thousands of businesses that rely on UniVoIP each day to deliver their business telephony needs.
New features include wireless and cordless support and distinctive ringing. Company officials said the new version of OfficeConnect supports the Mitel (News - Alert) Digital European Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) handsets and headsets on the Mitel 5330, 5340, and 5360 IP Phones.
OfficeConnect 5.01 also supports distinctive ringing, providing subscribers the ability to choose between pre-defined ring tones. With distinctive ringing, users can set the ringing tone on their phone to differentiate it from other stations nearby – Distinctive Ringing by Station.
Further, users can differentiate based on whether the call originated internally or externally – Internal / External Distinctive Ringing. They can also differentiate between calls targeted directly at their extension versus group calls – Call Type Distinctive Ringing.
OfficeConnect is hosted in the cloud at a secure and fully redundant data center in downtown Los Angeles.
UniVOIP recently announced participation in CBS’s 3rd annual Eye on the Environment event at CBS Studio Center, in Los Angeles. The company’s team members will demonstrate OfficeConnect at the event.
