Vidyo (News - Alert) Inc.’s platform has been chosen by GTS Central Europe for offering video conferencing services to corporate and SME clients. An exhaustive fiber optic and data center network throughout central Europe is owned and maintained by GTS CE.
This network will be used by GTS CE to offer Vidyo as a service across its principal operating regions of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Poland.
In a release, Juraj Durov, strategy and product director, GTS Slovakia said, "Selecting Vidyo to provide the technology to power GTS CE's network was an easy decision. No other solution offers the level of quality, reliability and ease-of-deployment and use. Our investment in Vidyo future-proofs our business and allows us to offer our customers a truly unique telepresence solution. What really attracted us to the Vidyo platform is its telepresence quality and ability to scale in an affordable way. Vidyo supports large numbers of video conferencing endpoints over non-QoS networks, such as the Internet or 4G, and truly solves the business to business communication problem, which was a huge consideration for GTS."
Vidyo's multi-point, telepresence-quality communication and collaboration technology has been used as the basis for the cloud-based comprehensive personal telepresence service offered by GTS CE. Carriers, service providers and unified communications vendors will be able to provide solutions based on Vidyo's innovative software-based technology, which will be easy to implement and also cost-effective, with the Vidyo platform. These solutions will be able to offer extraordinary quality over the Internet or general purpose IP networks.
Eric LeGuiniec, GM for EMEA, Vidyo said, "GTS CE shares our vision that businesses want their entire organization, big or small, to be empowered with personal telepresence on their desktop and we are delighted that they have chosen Vidyo as their video communications and collaboration platform to deliver video conferencing. Vidyo's scalable, flexible solution is a perfect solution for service providers and carriers as it enables them to deliver high-quality, scalable and affordable video conferencing to all employees, giving them easy access whenever they need it, wherever they are, for point-to-point and multipoint conferences including to legacy H.323 endpoints."
