BroadSoft (News - Alert), Inc. has announced the launch of a new iPad app for its global telecommunications service provider customers.

Called, Office Launch, the new iPad app has been designed to help telecommunications service providers simplify the configuration of enterprise hosted Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) services.

For BroadSoft customers, the app comes free of charge from the iTunes app store, BroadSoft, announced in a press release.

Increasing numbers of enterprising are adopting hosted Unified Communications services for more efficient communication with employees and customers. When it comes to fast configuration and installation of new hosted communication for the enterprise customers, the service providers are often faced with challenges. Office Launch has been designed to bridge this gap simplifying the configuration and installation of new hosted communication services.

With an intuitive interface, the Office Launch iPad app helps implementation engineers and office administrators to quickly modify service information, such as the configuration for auto attendant phone trees, front desk and hunting and station services, as well as designate call routing to an employee's preferred mobile device or desk phone. Based on BroadSoft Xtended open APIs, the app allows the service provider to easily deploy and customize the app to meet its specific needs.

In addition of accelerating customer deployment, the app helps improve sales productivity by allowing a service provider's sales team to shift installation fulfillment to its technicians, who can more quickly and seamlessly deploy the hosted service.    

With Office Launch, the move to the next generation, hosted UC services from legacy PBXs becomes easier for the enterprises.

Last week, BroadSoft announced that its BroadWorks voice application platform has been selected for deployment by the Administracion Federal de Ingresos Publicos or ‘AFIP,’ the national tax agency of Argentina.
