Fidelus Announces Full Release of UC Software: Provisioning Manager Express

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Unified communications software provider Fidelus Technologies announced today the full release of its Provisioning Manager Express Solution.

The offering, which was previously in beta, makes it possible to easily add, modify and delete users from the Cisco (News - Alert) UC environment, and more. These functions, company officials tell TMCnet, can help businesses to cut costs and time spent searching for an experienced Cisco certified engineer.

In addition to the new admin capabilities, the provisioning software also makes it possible to standardize device management through templates – cutting down resources and decreasing the margin for error.

Other features added as part of the new release include the ability to develop different employee groups within an organization, a search field to find templates faster, and a simple to use web-based interface.

With the beta program, Fidelus was able to test out Provisioning Manager Express as well as tweak any necessary feature and usability needs prior to announcing this full release. User feedback was fully incorporated and the beta phase allowed the company to collect impressive measurement of business results those planning to use the application.

Based on their findings, team members are estimating an average enterprise class user can save upwards of $75,000 in hard costs versus using manual provisioning as well as thousands of hours annually in resource time.

“This release simplifies the process of adding, modifying, and deleting users from the Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager environment. We do this through use of templates which are created through the initial administration process. Once these templates are created, the tasks of provisioning users can be handed off to a less experienced resource. In our beta program we've found companies have been able to hand it off to a receptionist or office assistant rather than a highly paid Cisco certified engineer. This has significant savings for an enterprise class firm, approx $75,000 annually for a firm making approx 100 changes per day,” an executive with Fidelus told TMCnet.

The need to cut costs is everywhere these days - IT managers and CIO are getting pressure from executive management to minimize as many costs as possible. By offering an application that pays for itself (and profits) in the first year of usage, Fidelus is answering this need.

For interested users, Fidelus is now offering the solution for a free 30-day trial.
