PureWave, a privately held company headquartered in Silicon Valley, recently adapted ConfD software from Tail-f Systems, to build the on-device management system for the company’s PureWave Constellation family of LTE (News - Alert) small cell base stations.
Officials at PureWave said they did an extensive evaluation process to find the best available solution in the market, and later decided on Tail-f's technology for PureWave's advanced LTE small cells.
"Having used ConfD software in our previous product generations we have come to rely upon it as a key part of our carrier-grade base station architecture,” said Reza Golshan, VP of Engineering at PureWave Networks. “ConfD reduces our development risk, effort and time to market."
Network Equipment Providers use Tail-f's software to build on-device management systems and EMS/NMS platforms in less time and with differentiated capabilities. Usage of Tail-f's software allows users to quickly build scalable, agile management systems and benefit by bringing network services to market faster and more reliably.
PureWave is using Tail-f's ConfD for building on-device management systems for all kinds of networking equipment. ConfD helps in auto-rendering all critical northbound interfaces (CLI, Web UI, NETCONF, SNMP and a RESTFul API) from a single data model. It also includes embedded database, transaction management, and support for high-availability deployments.
"PureWave's Constellation family of LTE small cells is generating a great deal of excitement in the 4G marketplace," said Fredrik Lundberg, CEO, Tail-f Systems (News - Alert). "We are delighted that they have chosen Tail-f Systems as their technology partner to bring carrier-grade management capabilities to their next generation of products."
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Tail-f Systems offers configuration management and network automation software.
