Fidelus Technologies, a N.Y.-based company founded in 2002 by Ron Rosansky (the president and CEO at Fidelus), is a Cisco (News
- Alert) Gold partner software provider of Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) solutions. The partnership with Cisco to help build easy-to-use, cost effective applications for clients has made Fidelus one of the most successful UCC limited liability company’s (LLCs) in the United States.
As a provider of comprehensive unified communications for corporate clients, customers can expect that Fidelus’ software app developments are able to fulfill specific needs for a Cisco UC ecosystem. As Matt Kalmenson, Fidelus’ vice president of sales and marketing put it, the company’s UC software products are Cisco channel-based. In other words, Fidelus Technologies partnership with Cisco has Fidelus developing applications for use in Cisco-centric UC environments.
Solution providers that resell Fidelus products, like Cisco as fellow channel partner, provide Fidelus the added hardware and software VAR (value-added reseller) capabilities it needed to become an in-house-developer of lucrative UC software.
Up to 2007, Fidelus Technologies was just a provider of professional services; but since then, the company has offered clients voice and video dial plans, advanced telepresence video solutions for customers (Jabber makes it possible to engage in a telepresence meeting from mobile devices), and made a few more UC software products for business environments.
For years now, Fidelus has built up experience in enterprise class solutions; their Unified Communications (News - Alert) Software streamlines repetitive/tedious business processes, improves communications, increases productivity, cuts operation costs and expands ROI.
These days, Fidelus Technologies is continuing to enhance customers experience through software. Its partnership with Cisco, to build and sell UCC software, has allowed the Fidelus business to prosper. Other than having Cisco as a channel partner, Kalmenson said that Fidelus now has about 30 solution provider partners that resell Fidelus products.
A few of Fidelus’ commercially available products are as follows: the Fidelus Console Operator, which is a UC application that works in conjunction with IP phones; the Provisioning Manager Express, an application for device management; the Remote Phone (News - Alert) Control application, an application used to remotely control any Cisco IP phone in an organization, and the Fidelus Global Directory, a user-friendly application to effectively search for, locate, and contact colleagues.
