Strategic Products and Services (SPS), a systems integrator that provides unified communication services, has announced that it is rolling out a new Small to Mid-Sized Enterprise (SME) practice.
“We understand the important role small and medium-sized businesses play within our economy," Vel Johnson, vice president of sales for SPS, said in a statement. “While this segment may not necessarily report to shareholders, each has specific objectives, challenges and growth strategies. With speed to market being critical, we have a dedicated team aligned to understand SME business needs and respond quickly with technology, applications and support to address the specific requirements within this segment.”
SPS designs, installs and supports multi-vendor converged communications, including call centers, IP telephony, network infrastructure, mobile communications and video conferencing. The Parsippany, N.J.-based company holds certifications from Microsoft (News

The company also provides resources to help small and medium businesses implement their solutions, offering access to industry experts, pre-sales support, project managers and software and hardware support. SPS also uses their centralized human resources, marketing and accounting departments, as well as specially trained teams.
While SPS has developed its methods to work with enterprise businesses, the company hopes that its methods will scale down to smaller operations.
“We understand many businesses do more with less," Johnson said. "We have tools and a dedicated team to augment IT staff and help with the day-to-day network management needs."
SPS recently placed 104 by UBM Channel in its Service Provider 500 list.
“(SPS') primary role is to engineer ways to leverage technology solutions that help customers exceed their sales goals, drive client satisfaction, expand internationally or accelerate new product development. In essence, they are today's IT integration leaders for middle market and enterprise customers. We congratulate SPS for their year over year ranking and look forward to covering their continued success,” said Kelly Damore, vice president and editorial director at UBM Channel.
