Provider of advanced network communications, Windstream (News - Alert) has announced an agreement with LifeSize Communications, a division of Logitech (News - Alert), to offer LifeSize high definition video conferencing capabilities to Windstream customers.
Calling the partnership with LifeSize a part of the company’s continual commitment to providing its customers with the latest communications and technology solutions for their businesses, Don Perkins, vice president of Business Marketing at Windstream, said that the emergence of the mobile enterprise has led to an increasing number of customers turning to remote conferencing technology.
Perkins expects that this face-to-face experience will help his company’s customers improve employee productivity, strengthen relationships, and reduce travel costs.
LifeSize (News - Alert) is a provider of high definition video communications. Company officials said that they deliver a high quality experience from the desktop to the conference room with full HD 1080p video. Thanks to the ability to provide HD video communications under 1 Mbps, LifeSize systems enable companies to “cost-effectively” deploy HD video communications.
According to the agreement, the high definition video communications products will be integrated with Windstream's IP networking solutions. “With the addition of Windstream, we can expand the availability of LifeSize solutions and bring video collaboration to more organizations than ever before,” said Joe Dorsey, director of America alliances at LifeSize Communications.
Dorsey believes that the alliances bring tremendous value to LifeSize, stating, “We are dedicated to providing them with a robust channel program to support their efforts and business success.”
In addition to offering Ethernet and dedicated high-speed Internet services, Windstream also offers full suite of advanced network communications and technology solutions such as VoIP, SIP trunking, and MPLS. Moreover, the company also has SSAE 16, SOC 1 Type II data centers located throughout the U.S. and offers managed services and cloud computing.
Earlier in June, Pratt Industries, the fifth largest box manufacturer in the U.S., selected Windstream to provide customized managed unified communications service.
