PanTerra (News - Alert) Networks is bringing HD video to its cloud services, with the introduction of ConnectMe HD. This unified video conferencing service is made to integrate into WorldSmart, and provides video, audio, IM, desktop sharing, and web meetings from the cloud.
ConnectMe HD can be launched with a single click, providing a comprehensive video conferencing solution at a low cost. As with all of PanTerra’s cloud-based services, it can be accessed from any computer browser, allowing users to connect and interact across systems without worrying about who’s using a Mac and who has a PC. Multiple users can share several cameras and desktops at once, providing a new level of collaboration.
It’s integrated into PanTerra’s WorldSmart UC IT service, adding its interactive video and collaboration features to its already impressive service. All WorldSmart customers will immediately have access to it without needing any additional purchases or installations.
“ConnectMe HD is like no other video conferencing product on the market today and another example of how PanTerra is leading the cloud communications industry with innovative solutions,” says Arthur Chang (News - Alert), PanTerra’s president and CEO. “Utilizing the latest browser technologies allowed us to focus on powerful collaboration features and create a very simple connection method that can be connect people on virtually any device around the world. We see video as being an integral part of our mobility strategy and rapidly becoming the norm for business communications.”
This is an impressive release from PanTerra Networks. The many new features that ConnectMe HD brings to the table are impressive additions to its WorldSmart Unified Communications (News - Alert) IT service, and it’s rather affordable too.
Video conferencing has been taking off recently, as it’s been proven to be a very useful tool for business communications. It’s more face-to-face than a phone or instant messaging, but still saves time and money on travel. There are constantly new releases for desktop sharing, smart cameras, and other ways to make the video experience truly high definition, and ConnectMe HD looks like it will be quite a contender.
