Business phone systems and unified communications services provider Inflow Communications recently finished setting up the new ShoreTel (News - Alert) Unified Communications system for multimedia publishing company SagaCity Media, Inc.

The new ShoreTel Unified Communications system has advanced integration with mobile and site-to-site telephony component, as well as additional enhancements for remote accessibility.

The newly installed VoIP phone system is now active in SagaCity’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon and its offices in Seattle, Washington. Further installations will take place in Vail, Colorado and Park City, Utah, both of which are still in the planning phase.

SagaCity’s newly installed system includes IP phones, software, mobile device integration, and additional system features that provide seamless call transferring and forwarding.

The new UC system was installed to replace SagaCity’s previous PBX (News - Alert) phone system, which the company had outgrown. The new system will help the media publishing company keep up with growing needs as it extends to several more western states in support of its 28 magazine publications.

“We were in need of a system that could expand as the company grew. We also wanted a system that was flexible enough to allow our staff easy remote access,” said Jimmy Fecteau, SagaCity’s media director of technology.

As the company expands, mobile and remote support is becoming more crucial for the increasing number of management and sales team members that will continue to be scattered amongst the company’s many offices. The new system was able to accommodate the company’s needs, while providing a seamless experience for Sagacity customers.

The installation process included full reviews and consultations about SagaCity’s business needs, including a new business model that would sustain future growth goals.

Inflow Communications president, Travis Dillard said that his company’s entire process has been developed to support and help clients figure out what communications systems are needed to support present and future requisites.

Other companies using Inflow’s unified communications systems include Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort , Merix Corporation, and Silverton Hospital, all located in Oregon.
