Change is in the air at Aspect (News - Alert) Software, with the appointment of two new general managers to lead its business units and support growth strategy. Spence Mallder and Chris Koziol will be joining Aspect, adding their extensive experience and expertise to Aspect’s toolkit.

Spence Mallder will be the new senior vice president, general manager of the Workforce Optimization division, and chief technology officer. He recently served as CTO for an Internet startup, following a position as SVP of Escalate Retail.

With over 25 years of experience in technology and software services, sales and development, he’ll be bringing his knowledge to Aspect, working with R&D to refine the company’s technology roadmaps with an evolving industry.

Chris Koziol is joining Aspect as the president and general manager of Interaction Management. With around 20 years of leadership experience, he’s served as president and COO at MicroAge, as well as COO for JDA Software. His new responsibilities will be to accelerate execution and quality efforts in Aspect’s Interaction Management business, particularly in regard to the market opportunities presented by Tiger Shark – Aspect Unified IP 7.1.

Change can be a good thing, and it seems to be that way for Aspect. These are two skilled professionals, with decades of leadership experience. Their individual skills and expertise should prove a boon for the company, and bringing in fresh blood keeps things from becoming stale.
