itrezzo Unified Contact Management Keeps Companies Prepared with Emergency Contacts

Californian company itrezzo announced that its Unified Contact Management (UCM) helped companies ensure that all their emergency contact lists and information were up-to-date and were available on thousands of employees’ smart phones, tablets, and desktops.


Communication being most imperative for companies to function smoothly, solutions such as the itrezzo Unified Contact Management helps especially during emergency situations such as the recent occurrence of Hurricane Irene.

itrezzo customers were able to keep all their critical contact data ready. This eliminated the need for maintaining contact information on spreadsheets, USB drives, Post-it Notes, or third-party apps on each handheld device. itrezzo UCM maintains contact data where it is easily accessible such as the smart phone address books of first responders, crisis teams, DR Staff, and senior leaders, said officials in a release.

Even when the East Coast earthquake occurred recently, many organizations were hampered by overloaded telephone lines, outdated employee contact information, incomplete disaster plans or old business continuity plans.  

However itrezzo customers were not affected much as Unified Contact Manager helped them reach critical staff, using SMS and PIN messages. itrezzo customers were more than ready for facing the impact of Hurricane Irene as all critical contacts were current and correctly distributed to address books of employee phones.  

Users were able to send and receive vital instructions, through text messages and PIN broadcast, to all their employees. It also facilitated disaster recovery and provided safety documents like evacuation plans through BlackBerry browser channels, explained officials.

itrezzo UCM optimizes business productivity and addresses continuity issues effectively.  The major components of itrezzo UCM includes Itrezzo Unified Contact Manager (itrezzoAgent EPS) – enterprise-grade server infrastructure and contact management applications. This can automatically disseminate employee contact information. The itrezzo Self Service Update serves to maintain accuracy and completeness of employee contact information.

According to officials the other feature itrezzo Lockstep automatically updates the corporate global address list with precision updates. The itrezzo InterOrg Connector extends Unified Contact Management for maintaining contact data and sharing it with designated staff groups at different companies or agencies.
