Video World Conference Program Brings More Star Power to Lineup

Speakers from TiVo (News - Alert), Internap, IneoQuest, Latakoo, Telestream and Jinni to Discuss Video Strategies October 3-5 in Austin

NORWALK, Conn. – August 28, 2012 – The conference program at Video World Conference & Expo continues to shine brightly, as additional speakers and sessions have been added to the robust conference program, TMC announced. Video World, taking place October 3-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, will assemble the best and brightest minds in the video and broadband industry to provide a depth-and-breadth educational agenda on all the latest trends in video. The show is collocated with ITEXPO (News - Alert), the world’s largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show.

Joseph Weber, Vice President of Technology Strategy at TiVo, Inc., has been added as a Video World keynote speaker. At 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, Weber will kick off the day with a discussion of “Innovating along the Video Industry Timeline.”

In the Enterprise Track, Peter Mastin, Vice President of Product Management at Internap (News - Alert), will join Peter Coppola, Vice President of Product Management at Limelight Video Platform Solutions, to discuss “Delivering Optimal Quality Video Using Content Delivery Networks” on Wednesday, October 3, at 1:30 p.m. “Video Search and Discovery” will be in the spotlight in the following session at 2:30 p.m., with Yosi Glick, CEO and co-founder of Jinni taking the stage to discuss how search and discovery software and services is changing the game by enabling asset location and retrieval in a timely fashion. 

At 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, Ryan O'Hara, Team Lead, Business Development for Dyn, and Ben Werdmuller, CTO for Latakoo, will discuss “New Video Opportunities for Internal and External Customers.” Attendees will learn how to create, launch and monetize collaboration, training, surveillance and in-store merchandise promotion programs and applications. On Friday, October 5, at 10 a.m., Paul Adrian, CEO of Latakoo, tackles the topic of “Justifying Spending and Exploring New Revenue Options.”

In the Service Provider Track Technology Spotlight, Kevin Louden, Product Marketing Manager for Telestream, and Jim Welch, Senior Consulting Engineer at IneoQuest (News - Alert), look at how adaptive bit rate (ABR) streaming forever changed the streaming environment. The ABR streaming session takes place at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 4.
