Film and video production cloud platform Scenios recently announced the opening of its new office at the Tribeca Film Center in New York City.

“We’re thrilled to be working here, amongst some of the most respected film and TV producers working in the industry,” said Mark Davis, Scenios’ CEO. He also stated that the Tribeca Film Center is the heart of production when in New York City, adding that the move was both logical and strategic.

Scenios offers cloud-based tools and software that automates the process of film and television production while simultaneously decreasing the cost of production for users in the production industry. Scenio’s “virtual production office” is an online help center for all information about production, which includes budgets and schedules, scripts, final productions and videos.

The Tribeca Film Center includes an array of offices that serve as the home to many of the most popular and recognized production companies in the industry. These tenants will now receive discounts when accessing Scenios’ cloud services to manage TV and film productions.

Scenios, a partner of the Producers Guild of America, is a startup built by five-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Wurtz and digital media entrepreneur Mark Davis. The company was launched in 2010 as a digital asset management service. Essentially, Scenios started out as a storage and management service for media content including videos, digital photographs, audio and recordings using Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3).

In early 2011, Scenios unveiled its next-generation online collaborative platform for film and TV production, which enabled producers and users to manage TV, commercial and film projects in a cloud-based virtual production office environment. In June of this year, the company launched a free version of its popular cloud platform, which includes five GB of cloud storage and an unlimited number of users in an account.
