Proprietary voice over Internet Protocol service and software application vendor Skype (News - Alert) recently announced that the company has partnered up with multiplatinum and five-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga as an official sponsor for the Born This Way Ball world tour, providing fans with ways to connect with the artist, share their concert experiences, and celebrate the Ball.

The VoIP vendor’s mobile apps will allow Gaga fans, also known as Little Monsters, the opportunity to share their experiences and memories from the Born This Way Ball with everyone on their social networks - from wherever they are located in the world.

Users of Skype will have access to Lady Gaga’s tour through LiveNation as well as a website developed especially for her tour, www.skypeball.com. Fans attending the music concerts will have the opportunity to make and share video messages with Lady Gaga and their own social networks through Skype video booths at the concerts. Fans will also have the chance to interview fellow fans on the venues’ Skype Blue Carpet. The VoIP company will also give a few lucky little monsters the rare opportunity to be on a video call with the Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga.

"Lady Gaga has been an innovator in music and raised the bar on live entertainment, Skype is proud to bring Lady Gaga and her fans closer than ever before, as it has for millions of people around the globe," said Skype’s CMO, Elisa (News - Alert) Steele.

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball World Tour for 2012-2013 kicked off last April 27 in South Korea with over 50,000 little monsters in attendance despite protests and controversy from Christian groups. The world tour will continue on throughout Australia, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The tour is said to be the top grossing tour by a female artist worldwide this year by the 2012 Mid Year report, which was conducted by Pollstar.
