Avocent Makes Video Post-Production Easier for Absolute Post

Absolute Post, a video post-production house, was in need of a new extender system. Its previous ones had a limited variety of services that its partners could access, and the engineering team had to spend hours moving and installing equipment at the client’s address.

To resolve that, it found the Avocent (News - Alert) HMX extender system, which has provided an increase in functionality and eliminated the need to constantly move equipment.

Absolute used to tie individual systems to specific rooms, which caused problems with scheduling conflicts, room size and so on.

That’s no longer an issue for them, now that the Avocent HMX extender system lets clients in any suite access any system. This provides them with better flexibility for accommodating client requests, as well as saving time and storage space by eliminating unnecessary data replication and time spent moving equipment.

With the Avocent HMX system, Absolute’s clients can access any computing resource from any room, improving the quality of service and business volume by responding to client requests. Operators just have to log in with Active Directory user credentials, and the resources are allocated to them instantly.
