Dailymotion has signed a deal with one of the top telecom companies in Portugal to get their content out across the globe just a little bit more. Dailymotion and Optimus have partnered up on a mobile television application that will reward customers who choose Optimus’ Triple-Play package with access to Dailymotion’s library of more than 30 million videos.
Dailymotion has been making itself a stronger player in Web video hosting over the last couple of months with the latest move being to launch a cloud based video platform that allows better access to the site for its users. The library that Dailymotion boasts is only continuing to grow thanks in large part to platforms like that one and it is making the company more attractive to outside parties like Optimus.

The Optimus television application will give users the ability to browse through videos by topic, as well as search for keywords. There are 20 different categories that users can go through, among the categories that people can look at are music, humor, sports and television. Among the titles users can access with this app are HD level music videos and as well as video game reviews and demos and interviews with some of the most well known actors and sports figures.
This application is more than just watching videos created by other people. Users can actually stream their own home movies to their televisions through the application by uploading those videos to Dailymotion, then look up those videos using the Optimus Clix TV App.
Optimus has been making a ton of high technological moves since it launched its IPTV (News - Alert) service in 2006. At the present time, the company has more than 150 linear television channels and more than 4,000 video-on-demand titles.
