NTT Communications Corporation is now providing new video conferencing services, thanks to Vidyo and Arkadin (News - Alert). This new service offers video conferencing services sans a complex infrastructure, thanks to Vidyo’s disruptive software-based hosted platform, which is delivered by Arkadin as a white label service. As a result, NTT (News - Alert) can broaden its video conferencing offerings without needing any investments in infrastructure.
NTT Bizlink, Inc. will use NTT Communications Group to launch the H.323 gateway service this December, combining its existing video conferencing service offerings with Vidyo’s (News - Alert) cloud-based video collaboration service. Users will be able to access it instantly over any Internet connection with a single click from their desktops or mobile devices, connecting to and starting video conferences from anywhere.
With the Arkadin-hosted Vidyo service in place, providers can enter the high growth market for personal telepresence. It offers scalable deployments for both mobile and room systems, and is made to interoperate with existing H.323 infrastructures with no additional MCUs needed. As a result, customers get excellent telecommunications services at minimal costs, without needing to make any new investments elsewhere.
"NTT Communications (News - Alert) Group decision to sign on to Vidyo’s infrastructure-less Vidyo As A Service program, and the ease with which Arkadin is able to offer this next generation video conferencing service, are both testaments to our unique software architecture and a new affordable pricing paradigm for video conferencing," boasts Ofer Shapiro (News - Alert), co-founder and CEO of Vidyo, in a statement.
He added, "Arkadin continues to be a valued partner, playing a key role in helping to expand Vidyo's international and service provider reach. Through Vidyo's white label program, Arkadin is enabling more and more enterprises to experience quicker time-to-market, and to offer exceptional telepresence-quality video conferencing that can be accessed on the widest variety of mobile devices, desktops and room systems."
The Vidyo-as-a-Service program, hosted by Arkadin, will be made available to Tier 1 carriers worldwide, and is currently available in the U.S., EMEA, and APAC. This is a great offering, one that will serve NTT well, and assist many customers and partners in meeting their telecommunication needs.
