KeyBank Ranks High in J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Study

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

KeyBank ranked fifth (in a tie) in overall customer satisfaction in the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Small Business Bank Satisfaction Study.

This milestone highlights KeyBank’s continued industry recognition for exceptional client service.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, KeyBank provides deposit, lending, cash management and investment services to individuals and small businesses in 14 states.

The company notes that this ranking is based on feedback from about 7,000 customers of the nation's largest financial institutions.

KeyBank is one of 24 financial institutions ranked in this J.D. Power study that gave it high ratings in a range of factors including account manager, account activities, account information, fees, problem resolution, products offerings and facilities.

All these factors have a significant impact on customer satisfaction with small business banking.

Key has received several feathers in its cap over the past several months. In January 2012, the company was honored with excellence awards for small business banking and middle market banking by Greenwich Associates’ 2011 national banking survey.

Key also scored significantly higher than the largest U.S. banks in a third-quarter 2011 customer satisfaction survey conducted by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

"These recent industry rankings reflect KeyBank's ongoing commitment to providing exceptional customer service throughout the bank," said Key Community Bank president Bill Koehler. "In particular, the J.D. Power ranking reflects KeyBank's continuing support for small business, which is an essential force for economic growth. While we are encouraged by our customers' positive survey feedback, our true reward is continuing to provide the capital, advice and services that help businesses thrive."

KeyBank was in news earlier this month for signing a long-term agreement with MasterCard (News - Alert) Inc. for providing debit card, ATM and prepaid card payment processing services.
