FuzeDigital Announces Patent Protection for its Community Knowledge Base Software

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

FuzeDigital, a provider of enterprise-grade social business software, confirmed that it has patent protected the reputation engine of its online social business software, the Fuze Suite. The patent covers 42 claims specific to measuring and motivating in addition to recognizing, and rewarding customers as well as staff, partners and other stakeholders working on developing new and or improving presently available knowledge base content.

“People want to get quickly to answers that resolve their issues and that the brand stands behind,” FuzeDigital CEO and Founder Chuck Van Court said. “Customers expect it and brands can’t be lazy, but in order to do this the content must be perpetually evolved using real-world insights of relevant internal and external stakeholders. Neither traditional knowledge bases nor online communities do a very good job at meeting this need, but our community knowledge base does by providing a vital component to any organization’s social strategies for tapping into the power of its stakeholders.”

Along with the community knowledge base, the reputation engine works with the Fuze Social module of the Fuze Suite which makes it easy for users and subject matter experts from all over the online community to access and identify specific subject matter as and when required or necessary.

Chris Reyes, community support manager, Dell (News - Alert) Cloud Business Applications, said that, “Our customers make serious decisions based on the knowledge they get from our community. They wanted a transparency of trust and identified expertise to a level only FuzeDigital’s reputation engine could provide.”

As opposed to expecting a subject matter expert to simply read a post in an activity steam by chance, the reputation engine of the Fuze Suite directly pings the subject matter expert over the Fuze Community Dashboard desktop application, or sends them an email and or SMS messages over their mobile devices.

Van Court said, “We are pleased to help clients such as Dell Cloud Business Applications leverage the power of social where, when, how and with whom they believe makes sense for their organization. The grant of this patent confirms how unique our innovative technology really is and helps protect this intellectual property our team has worked so hard to create.”
