Ooma Brings Voice Quality and Cost Savings to International Calls

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Ooma, a VoIP provider focused on voice quality, announced today new international calling plans to make it possible for customers to have quality, low cost phone conversations with friends and family around the world.

According to officials with Ooma, the three new international voice calling plans make it possible to call 70 countries for less than a penny per minute as well as call other countries at “reduced bulk discount rates.”

These plans have been set to match the lifestyles of Ooma customers who can select  from 1,000 free minutes for talking to friends and family in 70 countries for $9.99 per month; or another plan also for $9.99 per month that offers access to significantly reduced “bulk discount” rates for those who call other international countries more often.

In addition, a  third plan, also for $9.99 per month, is available only to Ooma Premier customers and combines the 1,000 free minutes to call 70 countries as well as the “bulk discount” rates for international countries.

The new rates, according to company officials, in addition to their recently announced Ooma Mobile Application, allow the company to, “offer the most affordable and functional international calling experience.”

Jim Gustke, vice president of marketing at Ooma said the company is committed to providing customers with, “the most affordable, feature rich and convenient international calling plans.”

“Forget about the frustrating calling card codes and their multiple access numbers and hidden fees. Stop watching the clock and worrying about expensive fee overages often associated with mobile calling plans. With Ooma’s award winning call quality and reliability, staying in touch with friends and family from around the world in crystal clear audio has never been so easy and affordable,” Gustke said.
