Platinum Protection, a global provider of security and investigative solutions, has announced it is now offering VoIP home phone service from Ooma.
With this agreement, the company offers Platinum Protection alarm customers the opportunity to purchase the ooma (News - Alert) Hub for home phone service. Platinum Protection’s service and product is offered wirelessly and does not rely on a wired phone line.
By selecting Platinum Protection’s home alarm system and Ooma’s free home phone service, customers can eliminate their current local and long-distance phone service, thereby saving hundreds of dollars a year, according to company officials.
Andrew Kindfuller, CEO of Platinum Protection, said, “Platinum Protection is always looking for innovative products and services to not only provide a safer home, but also to save our customers time and money.”
“Ooma is just that kind of offering, providing customers free calling anywhere in the U.S. using their existing Internet connection and home telephones,” Kindfuller said.
Featuring superior call quality, and state or the art features like Google (News - Alert) Voice Extensions, PureVoice Technology, and Mobile Calling Application, in addition to its superior cost savings, Platinum customers can keep the money they currently pay their current phone company, says Eric Stang, CEO at Ooma.
In a recent video interview with TMC (News - Alert) CEO Rich Tehrani, Dennis Peng, vice president of product management at ooma, said, “Packet loss is the biggest enemy to voice quality” and their Pure Voice technology can detect packet loss on the Internet connection and can compensate for that loss by sending redundant data.
Ooma Telo was also the winner of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine’s 2009 Product of the Year Award.
