Citrix Intros Unlimited VoIP, New Services to Help SMBs

Citrix Online (News - Alert), a division of Citrix Systems, Inc., today released the latest versions of Citrix GoToMeeting and Citrix GoToWebinar.

 
Both these products, according to company officials, make it easier for SMBs to conduct online meetings from any location.
 
Along with featuring free unlimited VoIP and audio conferencing, GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar also feature new capabilities designed specifically for Mac users, and Webinar planning and management tools.
 
Officials said that GoToWebinar is an online event designed to facilitate communication between a small number of presenters and a large remote audience using the Internet, while GoToMeeting is a Web conferencing tool that allows users to meet online rather than in a conference room.
 
“With our services, SMBs can fundamentally change the economics of their business,” said Brett Caine, general manager at Citrix Online, adding that online collaboration allows them to extend their reach into new markets and regions, slash travel costs, simplify training and support, and improve customer service.
 
“Citrix Online has developed solutions from the ground up to meet the needs of the diverse SMB market, and that’s one reason why its products are so well received,” said Laurie McCabe, vice president for SMB Insights & Solutions at AMI-Partners.
 
He also believes that by continuing to develop “innovative solutions with affordable pricing plans,” Citrix Online has the potential to build on its SMB market momentum as the “right company with the right products at the right time.”
 
Today, Citrix Online also announced that later this fall it expects to commercially release Citrix GoToAssist Express, a remote-support tool. The Web-based software, which is currently in public beta, has been built from the ground up to serve small companies and individual professionals, according to the company.
 
“GoToAssist Express is the quick, easy way to view others’ computer screens to provide instant support,” said Bernardo de Albergaria, vice president and general manager for Global Marketing and eCommerce at Citrix Online. “And with integrated unlimited unattended PC support, users can provide service even when clients are out of the office.”
