Company officials said that OneFi will also be installing its VoIP with users on a new market platform.
Hinting that the network design allows for expansion, A.L. Omran, chief technical officer at OneFi Technology, said, “Today’s networks must allow for constant upgrades and the OneFi WiMax, WiFi network gives us an opportunity to capitalize on easy upgrades at a minimum of expense.”
Unlike the standard network that allows for 802.11-b-g, the OneFi Technology network design incorporates WiMax 801.16e signal which goes as far as twenty miles. Company officials said that OneFi Technology also uses 802.11b-g and n to allow last mile user access.
Ken Domer, city manager of the Villa Park, said that he is “delighted” to bring the OneFi Technology to his city because of certain restraints which have made it difficult for wireless access in Villa Park.
Evan White, network development director at the OneFi, said, “From the classroom to the boardroom, the people in Villa Park now have a new set of broadband options with the arrival of OneFi’s signal coverage in Villa Park.”
Recently, Road Wings announced that OneFi Technology has obtained a full Telco operating license for the island nation of Jamaica.
Earlier this month, Road Wings announced that it has completed the first installment of its previously announced stock acquisition agreement with OneFi Technology. The Road Wings agreement with OneFi allows for a purchase of up to forty percent of OneFi Technology’s stock.
