At the Technology Marketing Corporation's Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Conference and Expo (ITEXPO) West 2008, Phonevite, the fast-growing one-to-many automated calling service won "Best of Show" honors in the Best Consumer Offering category. Emphasizing innovative technology and creative product features sets, the award was the only such honor given to a consumer product at the show.
Phonevite is being used by innumerable schools, scout troops, sports teams, churches and other organizations, as well as businesses, to get the word out instantly over the phone to all of their members. Phonevite is a convenient and desirable service for users and recipients alike with its security and abuse-prevention features.
Since its debut in late 2007, Phonevite has been a hit with users and critics alike. Phonevite lets any individual or organization instantly record a message, over the Web or the phone and allows them to simultaneously send it to a list of phone numbers for immediate hearing.
Being recognized as the industry's emergent leader in VoIP consumer services and as an ITEXPO (News - Alert) Best of Show award winner, Phonevite met the show's high standard as the most innovative product or solution in its category. Judges considered forward-looking products that serve as a base for future developments in the Internet telephony industry, apart from recognizing innovation and creative features.
The Internet Telephony magazine editorial staff evaluated over 150 Best of Show contestants, all of which were featured in the Exhibit Hall during the event. On first day of the Expo, judges evaluated the pre-show nominations and met with vendors to inspect and review the displayed products. Winners were announced on the final day of the exhibition.
“The number and quality of positive reactions to our product in recent months have only affirmed that Phonevite is an idea whose time has come," said John Nahm, co-founder and CEO of Phonevite, Inc. “But winning Best of Show at ITEXPO proves that Phonevite also has the ease-of-use and overall performance quality people look for. We appreciate the tremendous honor given to us by ITEXPO's judges, and look forward to seeing our concept grow into a service used by many thousands – even millions – of people.”
