By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Excendia’s speech-enabled Virtual Assistant has been integrated with Sylantro’s Synergy (News - Alert) hosted VoIP platform and the solution is being offered as part of Sylantro’s Synapps Catalogue of third party applications.

Excendia’s Unified Communications (News - Alert), speech mobility, intelligent call routing, and voice-activated call forwarding complement Sylantro’s hosted VoIP offering with convenient voice access to office data and telephone functions.

The Excendia (News - Alert) Virtual Assistant provides Sylantro users with a safe, hands-free and eyes-free speech link to their office email and phone systems. A Speech Dialer on Sylantro users’ desk allows them to call colleagues and contacts by name using speech commands. In addition, the solution allows them to use speech while driving for several functions such as changing their call forwarding and status, listening to their emails and replying to them or composing and sending new ones. Thanks to the multilingual Speech Receptionist, companies can allow people to be transferred to the person or service they want to talk to by simply saying their name.

Expressing his company’s excitement about the availability of Excendia’s speech-enabled mobility application as part of their Synapps Catalogue, Shirish Andhare (News - Alert), Sylantro’s VP of Marketing appreciated Excendia’s unique value proposition. By combining safety and business productivity for the business user, Excendia enables Sylantro’s service provider customers and re-sellers to differentiate themselves and increase revenues.

Andhare finds applications from developer partners such as Excendia to be the keystone of Sylantro’s vision for the next generation of IP communication services developed using their standards based Synergy platform and Synapps Web Services.

Gabor Barta (News - Alert), vice-president, Sales and Business Development at Excendia explained that the Excendia Virtual Assistant act as a bridge between the user and her/his messaging and telephone infrastructure at the office resulting in new and unique speech-enabled services.

By using the business data, Excendia Virtual Assistant makes the phone intelligent and uses the phone to make corporate data accessible remotely. Barta further elaborated on its features by stating that it features safe mobility and increased productivity and can be configured for multi-language and multi-tenant operations.
