Toshiba of Canada Limited and ThinkTel, a provider of business voice over broadband solutions and advanced voice applications, have entered into a relationship aimed at delivering national business VoIP services in the form of SIP trunking for the small to mid size enterprise market for Toshiba's (News - Alert) Strata CIX family of IP communication systems.

 

ThinkTel officials said this cost effective solution is an alternative to traditional business phone lines or PRI service using advanced voice over broadband technology with Toshiba's Strata CIX 40/100/200/670/1200 IP communications platform.

 

Toshiba's Strata CIX IP business communication systems deliver Voice over IP, networking, mobility, and the ability to customize applications.

ISDN-like features in any network environment for Toshiba end user customers via Toshiba's Authorized dealer network," said Rick Wierzbowski, director of telecommunication operations Toshiba of Canada (News - Alert) Limited, in a statement.

 

Wierzbowski said that with the Strata CIX IP communication systems and ThinkTel's Business VoIP, enterprises can implement SIP Trunk phone lines to their system quickly and achieve this cost effectively.

Officials said that the release of the ThinkTel SIP trunk compatibility ensures that ThinkTel's Business VoIP has met the testing requirements established by Toshiba Corporation to ensure feature and function compatibility with the Toshiba Strata CIX IP voice communications solution.
