Avistar Communications, a provider of visual unified communications solutions, reportedly has announced that AVI-SPL will offer the Avistar (News - Alert) C3 Desktop videoconferencing solution to its clients.

 

Tampa, Florida-based AVI-SPL (News - Alert) is a global audio video systems integration and services firm. The offers presentation solutions – systems integration, sales and rentals, complete staging productions, managed conferencing, IP integration and event management.

 

Calling the partnership with Avistar “ideal,” John Zettel, chief executive officer at AVI-SPL, said that his company sees Avistar C3 (News - Alert) videoconferencing as a critical new ingredient in its unified communications portfolio, fully encompassing the AVI-SPL standard for high quality collaboration and presentation solutions.

 

Recognized as a valuable communications tool, business-class videoconferencing provides corporations serious cost savings, improved productivity and return on investment, according to Avistar.

 

Avistar C3 solutions makes videoconferencing “easy” and “approachable” for both advanced and novice business users, said Avistar officials.

 

The company uses standard features such as instant messaging-style ability to initiate corporate video communications, multiparty calls and directory integration. Some of the advanced telephony features are video transfer, video call waiting, 2-line video calling, hold/resume and message retrieval supported by existing communication processes.

Earlier this month, Avistar announced that Zultys (News - Alert), a provider of all-in-one unified communication solutions, will integrate Avistar’s C3 Media Engine and make it available to its customers around the world.
