Stratus Telecommunications, LLC, a provider of end-to-end VoIP infrastructure, has just announced a channel partner program for telecommunications resellers worldwide for ENTICE VoIP and converged services products.

 

Stratus had recently acquired the ENTICE telecommunications business from Stratus Technologies (News - Alert), Inc., of Maynard, Massachusetts.

 

Emerging Networks Telecommunications Infrastructure Control Environment (ENTICE), is designed to interface to new or existing networks to provide control services and a software foundation for launching new services. Stratus Telecom has been specializing in the development of a complete set of software products which all operate under their ENTICE architecture.

 

Stratus recently made a series of major enhancements to it’s ENTICE platform and the general availability of its ENTICE Converged Application Server. The Converged Application Server, as stated by the company, supports local number portability (LNP) and the market's first jurisdictional routing capability for converged SIP and SS7 networks.

 

Stratus Telecom’s product portfolio include their ENTICE converged application server, which handles both SS7 and SIP traffic on a single platform, and the Stratus Telecom ENTICE E-REV services deployment platform, which simplifies retail and/or enterprise VoIP installations by bundling an application server, session border controller, billing system, unified messaging system, endpoint provisioning system and value-added features such as prepaid/postpaid services in one integrated package that interfaces with existing and next-generation networks.

 

Stratus Telecom’s widely adopted ENTICE platform offers products ranging from a session border controller and residential/enterprise voice over broadband solutions to a converged application server that delivers services such as number portability over SIP and SS7.

 

Through the channel partner program, Stratus Telecom is said to offer a complete reseller program with substantial margins for VARs that want to sell and install Stratus Telecom products and provide Level I support. Additionally, VARs also have the option to participate in a separate referral program that rewards resellers for closed sales opportunities.

 

This allows telecommunications resellers to expand their product offerings, complement hardware such as routers and switches with more profitable application sales, and meet the needs of both conventional circuit-based service providers and newer packet-based carriers for converged solutions that bridge that gap between technologies, company officials said.
