FreedomVOICE Celebrates Goal with Hawaiian Trip

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

Hard work really does pay off. At least for an Encinitas, California-based business VoIP provider.

Officials at FreedomVOICE Systems, the developer and marketer of FreedomIQ business VoIP service, today announced it is rewarding the employees with a free trip to Hawaii for helping the firm reach a “significant” company benchmark. The paid vacation is the result of the company’s growth in the virtual office industry.

FreedomVOICE (News - Alert) is paying for the trip, which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, the option to bring significant others, and a host of company events and activities, the company said.

While the company didn’t release specific results, Eric Thomas, FreedomVOICE CEO said he is pleased with the performance of the FreedomIQ Hosted VoIP PBX, adding that new users sign up daily for the service.

“Our employees have been nothing short of spectacular,” Thomas added in a statement. “Due to their hard work we’ve hit a major milestone in our growth. This trip to Hawaii is well deserved.”

That’s good news for those in industry. As TMCnet reported, the carrier VoIP market fell 20 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008 compared to the prior year, according to Dell’ (News - Alert)Oro, a Redwood City, California-based networking and telecom market research firm.

In addition to the trip, FreedomVOICE is giving employees two additional days off for the vacation. But workers can extend their stay by using paid time off.

FreedomVOICE sells a comprehensive slate of integrated virtual office solutions, including toll-free numbers, which allow business owners to enhance their company image, communicate seamlessly with customers, and track marketing effectiveness.

The company offers users an average cost savings of 40 percent to 70 percent. Officials point out that using a hosted PBX (News - Alert) service saves on equipment and maintenance costs, since phone gear no longer needs to be physically located on site. And cost savings in a sour economy on the minds of businesses leaders could be one factor driving FreedomVOICE’s success.

FreedomVOICE recently redesigned its Web site to offering business owners extensive learning assets about its FreedomIQ hosted VoIP PBX products and the growing business VoIP industry. The new Web site has been designed to allow users to stay up to date on the latest innovations in VoIP phone systems, including free consultations, tips for getting the most out of the FreedomIQ Hosted VoIP PBX product, and a fresh design, TMC reported.
