Momentum Telecom, a telecommunications company offering residential and business digital voice solutions, has reportedly chosen Level 3 Communications, a provider of fiber-based communications services, to provide VoIP enhanced local services or “ELS.”
As per the terms of this agreement, Momentum will consolidate the majority of its local service traffic on Level 3's network, which will help the company to streamline its business.
"The decision to expand local services with Level 3 was easy given their proven network reliability and large footprint. And, by consolidating our services, we get a simpler, more efficient solution for our business," said Alan Creighton, president and CEO at Momentum Telecom.
Level 3’s VoIP ELS allows companies operating their own Class 5 switches to launch IP-based local and long-distance communications to residential and business customers using broadband connections.
Momentum can now deliver IP-based local and long-distance communications services using broadband connections while having a high-quality, cost-effective VoIP primary-line replacement service.
"Delivering VoIP traffic is a core expertise for Level 3. We developed the first all-IP network, and today that network carries billions of minutes of IP-based voice and data calls every week," said Jeff Tench, president of Level 3's Business Markets Group.
"Level 3's services are a great match for Momentum. Not only can we consolidate their services onto one network, but we offer the flexibility and scalability they need as their business continues to grow," Tench said.
