Norwalk, CT – January 8, 2010 – Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) today announced that Steve Hardy, director of products and solutions marketing, will represent Avaya (News - Alert) during a special panel discussion at this month’s ITEXPO in Miami and discuss the important implications of Avaya’s recent acquisition of assets from Nortel (News - Alert).

Titled, “Avaya Purchases Nortel Enterprise Assets: Product Roadmap Implications for Users,” the session takes place Thursday, Jan. 21 at 12:15 p.m. in the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The session will be moderated by TMC’s CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), and feature prominent telecom analysts. According to Tehrani, this session is one not be missed for all enterprises, SMBs and channel executives.

“This is truly exciting news for the industry. The people at Nortel and Avaya have been toiling for some months to put this new company together - come and see the result of all this work and its implications for resellers, the enterprise, partners and SMBs,” Tehrani said.

“Moreover, what new product lines may or may not come out of this news? What are the implications for UC, video, FMC, IP PBXs, HD voice, virtual worlds, SIP, collaboration, contact centers? It will be exciting indeed,” Tehrani added.

After a brief intro from Hardy, prominent analysts - and perhaps media representatives (including Tehrani) - will discuss the implications of this acquisition. All attendees are welcome to attend. Lunch will be served to ITEXPO (News - Alert) participants with conference registrations.

ITEXPO, going into its 11th year, is the world’s largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show, drawing an average attendance of 7,000 buyers and sellers of communications and technology solutions. This will be the 21st ITEXPO, and TMC is optimistic about continued strong domestic and international attendance.
