ITP VoIP, a digital phone provider, is advising satellite Internet users to change over to residential voice over IP phone service, saying that satellite Internet, like DSL and cable, can support a VoIP hosted PBX (News - Alert) system cost effectively.
The company reveals that VoIP hosted PBX services can also support satellite service and is striving to inform satellite customers about the benefits of Internet phone service covering the various plans that are available online.
Also, rural subscribers in regions that are not served by cable and DSL providers could benefit from satellite Internet.
ITP VoIP is able to provide affordable, fully-featured Internet phone service to customers who have satellite Internet with speeds of at least 256 kbps.
According to officials, satellite Internet customers can benefit monetarily from ITP VoIP’s Internet phone service. Basic plans start at just under $10 per month and include calls to the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Low international rates are also possible as the VoIP provider allows users to make and receive calls over their existing satellite Internet.
ITP VoIP phone ensures call clarity as digital phone service is not get affected by interferences. ITP VoIP upgraded its voicemail alerts recently allowing customers to receive text notifications on their cell phones or opt for new voicemails to be e-mailed to their inbox.
Customers can not only forward calls in case of loss of Internet or power, but also input their addresses giving emergency dispatchers access to this information.
More features can be added such as virtual faxing with which customers can send and receive faxes via e-mail. The softphone service feature enables customers to make calls through their PC or laptop devices, added officials.
