vCapture: Cloud-Based VoIP Call Flow Diagnostics Tool by Vera Networks

Vera Networks, a supplier of voice and data solutions for telecommunication software, hardware and services, has developed vCapture, the first cloud-based SIP capture solution that allows Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks and platforms operators to achieve quick turnaround resolving call issues.

The service was first introduced in Chicago at International Telecoms Week earlier this year.

Using vCapture service, technical teams can target call issue-related session initiation protocol (SIP) signaling data with laser-point accuracy without being in critically sensitive areas of the network infrastructure.

The cloud-based, SIP signal capture technology logs all SIP messaging within a switching network, which allows for in-depth analysis of session initiation protocol (SIP) signaling data, including call flow, signaling and equipment-related problems.

According to a news release, customers can start using vCapture solution by paying a monthly subscription fee, and shorten the time required to identify the root cause of most VoIP call and interop-related issues, improving customer response times, resource utilization and reducing related operational expenses.

The service offers a wide range of features, including an easy-to-use interface and protocol-aware searching and filtering option. It can also store large amounts of SIP signaling data, which then allows for the retrieval of actual call information long after an event occurred.

vCapture is essential for anyone operating a Voice Over IP platform in today’s business environment,” said Christopher Bradish, CEO at Vera Networks. “It fits seamlessly into any network architecture, whether you are a carrier, service provider, or an enterprise business.”

“Our solution operates passively so it preserves the integrity of a networks infrastructure,” said Vera Networks CTO Brian Stone. “Other call analysis products on the market are typically intrusive, introducing additional points of failure into a network and potentially affecting network performance. Also, these other solutions can cost several hundred thousand dollars, while vCapture is a fraction of the price.”
